I went to the front desk to let them know and have them contact maintenance and the woman working had no clue what I was talking about. A panel on one of the magiquest displays fell off and almost fell on a young girl's toes. There is also no coloring board in the lobby to keep the kids occupied during check in like there is in Traverse City. We didn't experience a long check in (we arrived pretty late), but every day we saw a large line for others to check in. We asked for a pizza menu and it took a long time to arrive and a long time for the food itself to arrive even though the restaurant was empty except for us and one other table. 15 minutes later I was told it has been out of stock for 3 weeks. I ordered a split of sparkly wine and he could not find it. My husband asked what beer they have on tap and in bottles and the waiter told us he didnt know and to name something and he would let us know if they had it - weird. They didnt clean the tub, toilet or sink! They did replace the soaps though they forgot to clean our coffee pot all 3 days. They changed towels, vacuumed and made the beds. When they did clean it, it was not a thorough job. On day one we returned to our room at 3:30 to find it still had not been cleaned. Our room had a clogged sink (ew) and felt dirty. This property is so much dirtier than the TC one. No mini golf or bowling at this location. My 8 yr old daughter was a little disappointed that the area to play MQ was more limited, but she still loved it. They had a scavenger hunt for stuffed Peeps for Easter - my daughter had so much fun with it! There was a Highlights search and find book in the room - nice :) There are movies (way expensive though) It is located right next door to Meijer and there is a Target, Starbucks and Panera nearby. The pool area is smaller and has more for the little ones and less for older kids. It does have MagiQuest, but again, it's smaller in scale and this location doesn't have the compass quest or the new Shadow Quest. PROS: This GWL is better suited to younger kids (3-9) because of it's smaller size. The Sandusky GWL is a good choice if you cant travel farther to TC and if you arent planning on spending more than a 2-3 days. It's not only much larger and cleaner, but the location makes it worth the longer drive. We have visited the Traverse City GWL several times and love it.
